Assmann expands its AV portfolio with new solutions for signal distribution in resolutions of up to 8K UHD

The Assmann Group, a global solution provider for high-quality server, network and peripheral infrastructure products, is further expanding the range of audio and video solutions from its own Digitus brand. The focus is on new video extenders, switches and splitters that enable resolutions of up to 8K. The solutions are an important part of a modern AV and IT infrastructure. The areas of application range from professional environments (offices or conference rooms) to educational institutions (lecture halls and classrooms) to restaurants, hotels and fitness centers.

The Digitus Wireless HDMI Extender / Splitter Set (DS-55346) enables ultimate flexibility and performance in the transmission of Full HD AV signals. The wireless transmission system offers a range of up to 100 meters in a 1:1 connection (with unrestricted view). The system supports both point-to-point (point-to-point) and multicast (point-to-multipoint) transmissions. The latter makes it possible to transmit an AV signal to several displays simultaneously or to connect a single source to different target devices. In addition, the system can easily be expanded to up to four receiver units (DS-55347) to achieve video splitter functionality and distribute the HDMI signal to up to four displays. The transmitter module has an additional HDMI output (loop-out), which allows an external monitor to be connected, while the integrated IR transmission allows convenient control of the source device directly from the output display (receiver unit). The Plug & Play system requires no additional software or driver installation and is ready for immediate use.

Conveniently switch between signal sources & output devices

The Digitus 4K & 8K HDMI switches (DS-55331 - DS-55334) offer additional HDMI connections for an output display. Up to five signal sources can be connected to a screen via just one HDMI connection and transmitted in up to 8K resolution. It is easy to switch between the signal sources via remote control, on the device itself or via automatic detection. The switches are perfect for wall-mounting a TV, as only one HDMI cable is required to connect the sources.

The Digitus 4x2 HDMI Matrix Switch / Quad Multi-Viewer (DS-55345) enables convenient switching between up to four HDMI sources and two playback devices and distributes media content independently of each other. You can switch between the signal sources via remote control, on the device itself or via RS232 control. The multi-viewer function offers six modes for individual display of the sources (split screen, picture-in-picture) on output A or in parallel on A & B. Audio signals can also be decoupled via Toslink or 3.5 mm stereo connection and played back separately. Resolutions of up to 4K/30Hz are supported. The HDMI output resolution can be individually adjusted using a scaler.

Distribution of signals to multiple end devices

The Digitus 4K & 8K HDMI splitters (DS-55336 - DS-55340) distribute audio and video signals from HDMI devices to up to eight TVs, monitors or projectors in a resolution of UHD 4K/60Hz or UHD 8K/60Hz. Three modes (copy, auto, downscaler) can be selected using EDID management. The integrated downscaling function supports the display of 4K content on Full HD displays, and a 4K and a Full HD display can also be operated simultaneously.

AV signal transmission over long distances

The Digitus HDMI Extender Set (DS-55342) enables HDMI signal transmission over a distance of up to 40 meters (4K/120Hz, 4:4:4). The range of cables also includes bidirectional IR transmission, which enables flexible control of the signal source. The set is suitable for wall mounting and offers flexible installation options.

The 4K Video Extender (USB-C - HDMI) (DS-55343) enables the direct transmission of AV signals via USB-C with breathtaking 4K resolution and an impressive refresh rate of up to 120Hz over a distance of up to 30 meters - all via a simple CAT cable. The extender therefore offers a flexible solution for all AV requirements, whether in a professional environment or in the private home cinema / gaming sector.

The Digitus 8K HDMI repeater (DS-55341) extends HDMI signals in 8K/60Hz (4:4:4) up to 10 meters and 4K/60Hz (4:4:4) signals up to 13 meters. Two corresponding HDMI cables can be cascaded with the repeater. Thanks to its special design, the repeater can be powered via HDMI (5V) or optionally via USB-C if required.

For the ultimate 8K experience

The Digitus 8K HDMI Ultra High Speed connection cables (DB-330200-xxx-S) support all of today's requirements - from the playback of high-resolution UHD 8K content, to two-way audio transmission (ARC), to the control of HDMI devices via CEC. With Lip-Sync, time-shifted lip movements are a thing of the past. The cables can also transmit up to 32 audio channels and output images in 21:9 Cinemascope format. Gold-plated contacts and the triple shielding of the cable ensure maximum conductivity and interference-free transmission. The cables are available in lengths of 1, 2 or 3 meters and also support 4K 3D in 50/60Hz.
