The Lüdenscheid-based solution provider Assmann Electronic optimizes its portfolio of docking stations for workstations of all kinds

The Assmann Group, a global solution provider for high-quality server, network and peripheral infrastructure products, is relaunching its range of docking stations. The portfolio of its own Digitus brand is evolving to meet new technical standards and offer users a modern and compact selection of docking stations.

The Digitus docking station range has been updated: five new solutions are now expanding the existing portfolio. The new product family offers docking stations in different price ranges and with different features (for example, in terms of the number of ports) and thus provides the right solution for every need. Whether for a fixed workstation in the office or on the road with a laptop - customers will always find the right docking station for their needs in the new Digitus range.

The USB-C 7-Port Docking Station (DA-70914) is the ideal solution for expanding and optimizing a workstation. With an HDMI port for an additional external monitor, two fast (10 Gbit/s) USB-A 3.2 Gen 2 ports (one with charging function for mobile devices), a Gigabit Ethernet port (RJ45) for reliable network connectivity and two card readers (SD/MicroSD) with high transfer speeds, the dock offers comprehensive connectivity. It enables charging of a notebook via USB-C power delivery connection and is elegantly and robustly designed with an aluminum top cover. The docking station supports DP 1.4 Alt Mode and is backwards compatible with DP 1.2 Alt Mode. It also supports HDCP 2.2, 1.4, 1.3 and HDR10+ for an optimal multimedia experience.

The USB-C 7-Port Travel Docking Station (DA-70916) is a particularly efficient solution for mobile productivity. With an HDMI port for an external monitor, two fast (5 Gbit/s) USB-A 3.2 Gen 1 ports (one of which also has a charging function for mobile devices), a Gigabit Ethernet port (RJ45) for a reliable network connection and two card readers (SD/MicroSD) with high transfer speeds, the station offers comprehensive connectivity. It also enables notebooks to be charged via the USB-C power delivery port and is versatile thanks to its stowable USB-C host cable. The docking station supports DP 1.4 Alt Mode (backwards compatible with DP 1.2 Alt Mode). It also supports HDCP 2.2, 1.4 and HDR for an optimal multimedia experience.

The USB-C 8-Port Docking Station (DA-70915) adds eight ports to notebooks. With two HDMI ports, two external monitors can be connected in 4K quality. In SST mode (screen mirroring), the docking station supports dual monitors with 2x 4K/60Hz. In MST mode (screen extension), it supports dual monitors with 2x 4K/60Hz. The two USB-A 3.2 Gen 2 ports (10 Gbit/s) enable an ultra-fast data transfer rate and the smooth use of external devices. The Gigabit Ethernet port (RJ45) provides reliable network connections, and the integrated card readers (SD/MicroSD) allow fast data transfers from memory cards. The integrated 20 cm USB-C connection cable offers the necessary flexibility, while HDR support provides an impressive visual experience.

The USB-C 11-port docking station (DA-70917) expands a notebook with three external monitors thanks to two HDMI ports and one DP port. The docking station supports dual monitors with 2x 4K/60Hz as well as triple monitors with 3x 4K/60Hz - both in SST mode (screen mirroring) and in MST mode (screen extending) with 1x 4K/60Hz + 2x 4K/30Hz. The two USB-A 3.2 Gen 2 ports (10 Gbit/s) enable ultra-fast data transfers, with one port also featuring a 1.5A charging function for mobile devices. The USB-C 3.2 Gen 2 port (10 Gbit/s) provides extended connectivity, while the Gigabit Ethernet port (RJ45) ensures a stable network connection. Two card readers (SD/MicroSD) offer a transfer speed of 104 MBps. The DC jack charges the notebook using a powerful power supply unit, and the 3.5mm audio jack rounds off the equipment. A reversible 100 cm USB-C connection cable ensures a flexible connection to the host. The docking station also supports DP 1.4 Alt Mode and HDR.

With the USB-C 13-Port Docking Station (DA-70918) a workstation can be expanded by 13 connection options. The dock enables dual or triple monitor setups (4K/60Hz on all monitors) in MST mode (screen extension) for Windows, macOS (including M1, M2, M3 chipsets), ChromeOS and Linux PCs. The docking station has three HDMI and two DisplayPort connections, which can be combined as required. Thanks to three USB-A 3.2 Gen1 ports (5 Gbit/s), one USB-A 3.2 Gen 2 port (10 Gbit/s) and one USB-C 3.2 Gen 2 port (10 Gbit/s), users benefit from ultra-fast data transfer rates. Charging of mobile devices with 1.5A is supported. A Gigabit Ethernet connection (RJ45) with 2500 Mbit/s ensures a perfect network connection. The supplied power supply unit (21V/7.1A, 150W) provides the docking station and the notebook with sufficient power. The 3.5 mm audio jack and the reversible 100 cm USB-C 3.2 Gen 2 connection cable offer additional flexibility. The docking station supports DP 1.4 Alt Mode (backwards compatible with DP 1.2), HDR and HDCP 2.2/1.4.
