The ASSMANN Group builds on the pioneering spirit of the company's founder Dieter Assmann. The graduate in business administration founded the company to produce connectors in 1969 under the name ASSMANN KG.
In July 2011, Stephan Assmann became a member of the management board of ASSMANN Holding and the entire ASSMANN Group and continued the company in the second generation. With the international orientation, he worked for a seamless dovetailing of the branches for the customer's benefit.
Lothar Schwemm took over this position in October 2021, while Stephan Assmann continues to be a partner. The other management members are Dirk Kunz, responsible for finance, controlling, and human resources management; Phil Penninger, responsible for purchasing, logistics, IT, and quality management; and Michael Zulauf, who is in charge of sales & marketing.
The company meets a wide range of customer requirements for network technology. ASSMANN products are well-respected and well-positioned in quality terms by distributors, retailers, system integrators, OEMs, and corporate resellers.
The strategic orientation of the ASSMANN Group comes from the headquarters in Lüdenscheid, ASSMANN Electronic GmbH. The operative business of the subsidiaries is managed independently by the members of the group.
Around 220 employees worldwide ensure the success of the activities in the divisions: Network Technology, Network and Installation Cables, Network and Server Cabinets, Computer Cables, Computer Components, and Video Solutions. A strategic goal of the ASSMANN Group is to develop solutions for networked life and inspire with innovative products.
